Ideal
for country walks and bird watching. Excellent sea fishing off
Chesil Beach.

RODDEN
This
hamlet can be found on the quiet picturesque route to Abbotsbury
Swannery. Nearby are many footpaths including the coastal footpath.

PORTESHAM
A
pretty village at the foot of the hills. Post Office and 15th Century
Church. Kings Arms Pub serves bar meals and welcomes children. Hardy's
Monument, the memorial to Vice Admiral Masterman Hardy, stands above
Portesham with magnificent views across the Dorset countryside.

GREAT DORSET MAIZE MAZE
(Jul - Sept)
This year's theme is a celebration of
the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 - the hero of the story is Admiral
Hardy who lived locally at the time, and his monument is only 2 miles
from the maze at Rodden Farm.
